| Laura Viale has been licensed and practicing therapeutic massage since 2002. She has been Nationally Certified by NCBTMB since 2003. Her practice started in Albany, N.Y. before she moved to the Metro - Boston, MA area in 2004. Laura has additional training in Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, and Reiki (II). She is also Certified in Prenatal (Pregnancy) Massage (2003) and is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (2006). Additionally, Laura has begun the certification process for being a certified Doula/Birth Assistant through ALACE, the Association of Labor Assistants & Childbirth Educators. She attended the Labor Assistant course in December 2006 and has already completed part of the certification requirements including attending 9 amazing births so far. Laura and her husband are enjoying the fun experience of parenting a toddler! |
| "I am passionate about the field of Massage Therapy and feel privileged to be a part of it. I love this healing work and hope to continue on this path for years to come. It is my goal to bring more awareness to the benefits of Massage Therapy and release this work from the stigma of being a luxury. I truly believe that receiving Massage IS healthy and that utilizing the benefits of this service would significantly reduce the number of common, chronic, stress-related conditions in our current culture. Although I am trained to successfully relieve tight muscles and increase range of motion through deep, therapeutic techniques, I believe it is also my responsibility to bring my clients some peace and relaxation. It is in that place of serenity that their bodies can rejuvenate and heal. Being a part of that process is what is so rewarding about my work. It is a joy to make people feel better and see the delight in their faces when their pain is gone by the end of the session." |
